Dear colleagues, and dear Friends,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 57th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Nephrology (ESPN) in Athens, Greece. Athens is the heart of European civilization, being the cradle of philosophy, democracy, and science, but also a flourishing, warm, modern city, full of activities driven by a very dynamic young generation. Its historic heritage along with Greek hospitality bring a unique atmosphere to the city!

We have structured this annual ESPN meeting to represent a unique professional experience and an opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues, to initiate collaborations, and to enjoy the cultural experience of ancient and modern Greece. Aiming to excellence and innovation, the scientific program will include the most recent advances in the field of Pediatric Nephrology with keynote lectures and invited lectures. Three pre-congress courses will be organized on lower urinary tract diseases, renal pathology, and hypertension & cardiovascular disease that will provide comprehensive patient care-centered updates. Special sessions will be dedicated to allied professionals including dieticians, psychologists, and nurses that care for children with kidney diseases. Very large space has been reserved in the program for oral presentations and for discussing research works during dedicated poster sessions.

The meeting will take place in the Megaron Convention Center, located in the center of the city. In a green environment under the blue Athenian sky, the 57th ESPN annual meeting will represent a fantastic opportunity for learning and exchanging ideas in the city where symposia were born.
